Orthodox prayer · For Every Need
Before Meals
The traditional English text, as prayed in the Prosfora daily prayer rule. It is in the “For Every Need” section of the Prosfora prayer book.
Our Father, Who art in the heavens, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
O Christ God, bless the food and drink of Thy servants, for Thou art holy, always, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Prosfora assembles your morning and evening prayers in 5, 10 or 20 minutes and walks you through them one prayer at a time. Pray in your browser or install the Android app.
