The Jesus Prayer
The traditional English text, as prayed in the Prosfora daily prayer rule. It is in the “For Every Need” section of the Prosfora prayer book.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
The prayer of the heart, repeated slowly with attention — on a prayer rope, one knot for each repetition. Undertake a numbered rule only with your priest's blessing.
Pray the whole rule
Prosfora assembles your morning and evening prayers in 5, 10 or 20 minutes and walks you through them one prayer at a time. Pray in your browser or install the Android app.
